Murano, an ancient center of the Venice Lagoon, is famous for its glassmaking, furnaces and ateliers and the seat of the Glass Museum.
You can go to the Island of Murano with the Actv vaporetto lines, the public water and land transport service in Venice, which makes connections to every destination in the historic center of Venice and the islands of the lagoon by means of various cabotage water buses.
Which ticket to choose for my visit to Murano?
For tourists and non-residents there are various types of ACTV tickets to choose from depending on the length of stay in the city or the use of the vaporetto you want to do.
If you only visit Murano you can buy a 75-minute ticket for € 9.50; however, if you plan to add the visit to Burano and Torcello or take the vaporetto in Venice later or before, the 24-hour ticket of € 25 is better, otherwise you would use 4 to 6 tickets of 75 minutes even spending double.
So you have to plan the purchase according to your needs. The day ticket expires 24 hours after the first validation. The same for the other day tickets.
How much does it cost to go to Murano?
