At the Guggenheim Museum the long-awaited exhibition Marcel Duchamp and the seduction of the copy, curated by Paul B. Franklin, an independent scholar living in Paris and one of the leading experts on Marcel Duchamp (1887-1968). This is the first major solo exhibition that the Venetian museum dedicates to Duchamp, one of the most important artists influential and innovative people of the twentieth century, a historic friend as well as a adviser of the American patron Peggy Guggenheim.

At the Guggenheim Museum, the first and most comprehensive solo exhibition dedicated to the Venetian artist Edmondo Bacci (1913-1978); around eighty works, many of which have never been exhibited before, including unpublished paintings and drawings, from the Edmondo Bacci archive, private collections and international museums.

In spring the Guggenheim proposes an exhibition proposes an investigation on the art of Jean (Hans) Arp (1886-1966), one of the founders of the Dada movement and pioneer of abstraction. On show are the works of a 6-year career that saw Arp use different materials to get to multiple formats.

In 2012, eighty post-war European and American works of art were added to the collections of the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation, as a legacy of Hannelore B. Schulhof (1922- 2012) and her husband Rudolph B. Schulhof (1912-1999). This exhibition will be an opportunity to see the Schulhof Collection as a whole, with almost all the works on display and set up on the basis of the formal developments of the post-war period, following the steps between the movements and the styles that develop from from the end of the Second World War up to the 80s of the twentieth century.
