The 58th Biennale of Art will open to the public on 11 May 2019. But starting from a few days before the opening there will be the various openings and side events that always suddenly animate the Venetian artistic life. The title of the 58 edition of the Biennale d'Arte is May You Live In Interesting Times.

79 artists are invited to exhibit at the 58th Venice Biennale of Art, with a prevalence of women. Among them the 2 Italians Ludovica Carbotta and Lara Favaretto. The first will make a site-specific work in Forte Marghera, inside the building known as the Austrian Powder Mill.

The title of the exhibition at the Iranian Pavilion at the 58th Venice Biennale is given by a poem by the contemporary poet of Mohammadreza Shafiei Kadkani.

Commissioner Hadi Mozafari stated that the works of the three artists on display are much closer to the world of contemporary art and that they will help to represent Iranian art of praying the glory "of" being and singing ", identities and memories and also reality and dreams through their works He added that the three artists will account for the state of contemporary art in Iran, showing something different than what has been perceived in recent years outside the country.

Lavasani will propose a cycle of works entitled Life; while Alikhanzadeh will present a collection of digital prints originating from a series of old family photos. Finally, Meer Azimi will bring a cycle of works on the theme of dream perception to the Iranian Pavilion.
