Hotel Panorama faces the
Venitian Lagoon in front of S.Mark's Square

The yellow walls and characteristic green shutters on the windows are immediately recognizable, even from St. Mark’s Square; from which guests can travel to the Hotel in only ten minutes by the public water boat transport (ACTV), or by taxi from Venice, meaning motorboats which have their own mooring points in front of the reception area of the hotel. All public and private transport also land on the same points of connection with Lido and the S. Lucia Railway Station or “Marco Polo” Venice International Airport. Executives and helicopters instead, can land directly at the Nicelli Airport in Lido, from where in a few minutes; they can arrive at the Hotel. It’s also possible to arrive with your own car directly at the hotel, thanks to the regular ferry service of the ACTV Ferries. The routes leave from the Tronchetto and Punta Sabbioni Terminals and depart every 50 minutes, offering visitors the splendid and unusual view of Venice and her islands from a most natural access gateway: the waters of the Lagoon.

Saint Mark's Basilica: beautiful Venetian church with 5 domes looks like the ancient church of Costantinopoli. It was embellished during the early centuries of the last millennium and particulary in the thirtheenth century when Venice dominated Mediterranean culture and economy.
The church, built to represent the power of Serenissima, is externally embellished with marble, mosaics and bas-relief: all maded with precious materials came from Bisanzio, Aquileia and Ravenna. Internally, the church has a Greek cross plan with domes substained by big columns.
But the most amazing fact of this church is that the architectural structure is perfectly hidden by the beauty of the mosaics...

Saint Pietro's Basilica: This church was the cathedral of Venice 'till 1807, when Saint Mark's Basilic became the religious centre of the city.
San Pietro was rebuilt on a previous building of the seventh century a.C. and dedicated to San Pietro by the bishop Magno. Original building, as appears nowadays, it's the result of a remake, partially completed, based on a project by Palladio.
Here, seignory used to come the eight of January to commemorate the end of the pestilence in 1630. In memory of all the episodes of plague that threw Venice and the entire Europe into confusion, also San Lorenzo implora l'aiuto divino per la liberazione di Venezia dalla peste del 1447 by Antonio Bellucci painted in the end of 1600.

Saint Giorgio's School: The School took its name by the Dalmatian community which became a corporation in 1451 with the patronage of saints George, Jerom and Tryphon.
It was officially opened in 1451 and testifies the presence of the Dalmatian (Schiavoni) community: Venice always trades with Dalmatia during its history. This School would probably be anonymous now if Jerusalem's patriarch had not gave the S. George's relic to the commander of Venetian fleet in 1502. At the same time, Carpaccio, was charged to realize some paintings dedicated to the saints Agostino, Matteo and Giorgio: masterpieces where Carpaccio reached the perfection of its art.
School was closed as the other by Napoleon's edict.

situated in Tessera, 12 Km by car and 10 Km by boat from Venice.

at Terminal for cars and buses at Piazzale Roma and Tronchetto.

Airport - Venice by car or bus

Public transportations: Service of public bus ACTV or ATVO for Piazzale Roma: ACTV - Tickets 0.77 Euro ATVO 2.58 Euro valid for one single journey. It will take roughly 30 minutes.
On arrival at Piazzale Roma, take the Vaporetto ACTV (Lines 51, 61, 51, N) to reach the hotel. Boat stop Lido. Ticket Price: €3,10 from the ticket office or directly on board by paying a small supplement. The Hotel Panorama is easily reached by foot in less than one minute from the boat stop.

Private transportations: Private car-taxi to Venice Lido. Price about L 13 EURO (22.5 USD; 8 GBP).

Airport - Venice by motorboat

Public transportations: ALILAGUNA is the direct passenger waterbus service between Venice and its airport. Ticket 8,78 Euro, you can buy it directly on board without any supplement. Get off at Lido Stop. The Hotel Panorama is easily reached by foot in less than one minute from the boat stop.

Private water-taxi
