is situated in the Dorsoduro Sestiere (district), very close to the beautiful Zattere walk; one of the most romantic in Venice. Accademia Gallery: Accademy of Venice is one of the most prestigious of Italy, keeping paintings of Venetian school since the Middle Age to masters of the Renaissance with masterpieces by Bellini, Tiziano, Giorgione, Tintoretto, Veronese... till the painters of the eighteenth century, Tiepolo, pastels by Rosalba Carriera and the inside scenes by Longhi.
Only Tuesday and for a small period of time (15-16 ; 16,30-17,30) Accademia gives the possibility to visit the deposits at the last floor of the monastery builded by Palladio..

S. Rocco: this School was built in 1515 following the project of Bon and Scarpagnino, and soon became famous becouse of the Tintoretto's paintings. Tintoretto in fact worked here for more than twenty years representing many masterpieces of Venetian painting between the Renaissance and Mannerism.
Besides, here are kept works by Giorgione, Tiziano and Tiepolo.

Guggenheim Museum: Building should have characterized with its magnificence the last part of Gran Canal: these were at least the purposes of the first owner who built it in the eighteenth century. Actually only the ground floor facing the Gran Canal was built using a white stone called "Pietra d'Istria": on the rear side there's the garden. Building was bought in this century by american collector Peggy Guggenheim, and became soon one of the most important place for contemporary works. Exhibiting masterpieces by Kandinsky, Pollock, Ernst, Chagall, Dalì and many others.

Arriving by plane
at Airport Marco Polo
situated in Tessera, 12 Km by car and 10 Km by boat from Venice.

Arriving by train
at Railway Station Venezia S. Lucia
located near Piazzale Roma.

at Terminal for cars and buses at Piazzale Roma and Tronchetto.

Public transportations: Service of public bus ACTV or ATVO for Piazzale Roma: ACTV - Tickets 0.77 Euro ATVO 2.58 Euro valid for one single journey. It will take roughly 30 minutes.
On arrival at Piazzale Roma, the Casa Rezzonico is easily reached by Vaporetto 82, direction TRONCHETTO. Get off at the ZATTERE stop. Or by walking 10 mins, direction Accademia.
Walk in the direction of Campo Santa Margherita, which takes 3 mins, until Ponte dei Pugni. Walk along the Fondamenta Gherardini to the end. We’re at n° 2813.

Airport - Venice by motorboat

Public transportations: ALILAGUNA (www.alilaguna.com) is the direct passenger waterbus service between Venice and its airport. Ticket 8,78 Euro, you can buy it directly on board without any supplement. Get off at San Marco Stop. From S. Marco you can take ACTV'S lines (1, N with direction San Marco) to reach Casa Rezzonico. Get off at CA' REZZONICO Boat Stop. Walk through Campo San Barnaba, leave the Ponte dei Pugni on your right walking the Fondamenta Gherardini till the end. We're at the number 2813.
