building, dating back to the 18th Century,
faces onto a romantic canal which is used for
mooring boats for those lucky inhabitants, and onto the foundations
which lead to the Ponte dei Pugni (Bridge of Punches); where
once upon a time, the two Venetian factions, Castellani and
Nicolotti, faced each other in the legendary riots. Casa Rezzonico
offers a high level of comfort, having only
6 rooms with private bathroom, facing onto the canal or internal
garden; where in nice weather, breakfast is served
and guests can later relax after a long day’s sightseeing
in the museums of the City. The rooms are furnished with
wooden furniture and have Venetian polychromed
flooring or parquet. The Locanda if very close the
Grand Canal, where guests can catch the public water boat to
other areas of the Lagoon and City. For those who love art,
the Museo del Settecento Veneziano Ca’Rezzonico (18th
Century museum), the Scuola Grande dei Carmini (Grand school)
are close by, where you can admire the frescoes in the Tiepolo,
Palazzo Grassi and the Accademia Galleries. The fantastic
walk along the Zattere is only 5 minutes by foot from
the Locanda, whilst for those who love enjoying themselves;
