CHURCH OF SAN LORENZO - Sestiere of Castello, ancient -

San Lorenzo's church is surely one of the most ancient religious building in Venice, in fact its first foundation was built in the sixth century.
It has just one nave parted with three arcades that used to delimit the space for the faithfuls from the nun's chorus of the convent adjacent the church.
This church has been bombed during the first World War of '15-'18 and later restored.
Speaking about architecure it represents a unic and particular building among all the churches of Venice.
