This churches
rises up in the homonym square, in front of the Fava's bridge that boards
itself with the Fava street. Etimology
of
this spot is discussed yet, in fact it seems took by the commerce that
took place in this area of Venice in the past (fava means bean) or borrowed
from a pastrycook who used to make bean's cake, a common Venetian cake.
Churc has been raised up by architect Antonio Gaspari in the 1711, instead,
to build the Presbytery ('700) won a project by architect Giorgio Massari.
Church has a unic nave with many lateral chapels, and inside, in your
rigth hand side it's possible to admire S. Anna, la Vergine bambina
e S. Gioacchino, a painting of 1732 by Gian Battista Tiepolo, while
in your left hand side there's a masterpiece by Piazzetta: Vergine
col Putto e S. Filippo Neri in preghiera. Painter, died in misery,
found a place to rest in the church of Albrizii's grave.
Sculpture, in this church, is rappresented by Santi ed Evangelisti
by Torretto, a series of eight sculptures by the artist whom was the
Canova's teacher.
