CHURCH OF S.S APOSTOLI

Even if it has a really ancient foundation that collected the first escapers from mainland, nowadays it doesn't have a strong architectonic importance, as a great numbers of restorations changed and semplified the external structure.
However the inside still has a sixteenth century structure: just one nave supported by two orders of columns. While the chapel Corner by
Codussi is the only part remained of fifteenth century church. Here was buried famous Caterina Cornaro, Cyprus Queen, whose monument seems to be ascribe to Tullio Lombardo.
In this church is even kept one of the most spirituality paintings by Giambattista Tiepolo, La comunione di Santa Lucia.
