CHURCH OF S. SOFIA

It's not so easy to notice the small church of Santa Sofia on the line of houses in Strada Nuova, in fact there's no facade and to get in the turist has to pass a door doesn't seem a religious entrance but rather a common door.
Inside are kept two paintings by Bassano's school - at the side of presbitery - and a Battesimo di Cristo by G. Heintz on the main altar.
But the real treasure of this chiurch were the doors of the organ of the sacristy painted by Jacopo Palma il Giovane and now kept at Accademia Gallery' s Stores.
